Southern Arizona Home Builders Assoc(SAHABA) Member Spotlight: Family Air
Family Air advertises one of its priorities in its name: family.
Jim Beard started his business in 2006 after the company he had been working for shut down its residential sector. It was a natural move for him to continue service to homes while at the same time supporting his two daughters.
During its 10 years in business, Family Air has been able to financially “break above even” each year, an accomplishment that Beard contributes, in part, to his membership with SAHBA.
“The (SAHBA) Home Shows generate a lot of business for us,” said Beard. “You get more positive leads there, than anywhere else.”
Beard says even people who grab business cards from his booth during the Shows usually become customers. Family Air has participated in the Home Shows since the company was founded. Beard’s two daughters are no strangers to SAHBA and the family business. Faith, 14, and Rebekah, 12, are regular volunteers at the Home Shows.
Family Air services cooling, heating, and evaporative units in both residential and commercial spaces. The company also does duct work and installs systems.
Beard is a member of the SAHBA Associates Council and Remodelers. The family man will be running between the Remodelers “Corner” and the Family Air booth at the April Home Show.
